Election Procedures
Elections for the South Santa Clara Valley Memorial District are governed by the provisions of the Uniform District Election Law and held on the first Tuesday after the first Monday in November each even-numbered year.

The term of office for elected Directors is four years. The board consists of five members who must be registered electors residing within the district. A majority of the seats on the board are designated for veterans. Directors serve without compensation, but are entitled to actual and necessary expenses incurred in the performance of their duties.
